LAMBTON-KENT-MIDDLESEX — The Ontario government is providing $406,000 to support essential upgrades and repairs at 5 community agencies in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. This funding is part of the government’s $25 million investment in critical infrastructure repairs this year, helping ensure community agencies across the province can continue delivering essential services to those who rely on them most.

“The community agencies play an important role in supporting individuals and families across Lambton–Kent–Middlesex, and we want to make sure they have the facilities they need to continue doing that important work. This $406,000 investment will ensure they can continue providing high-quality programs and services to the people who rely on them. I’m pleased to see our government making these important investments in our local communities.” said Steve Pinsonneault, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Funding from the Partner Facility Renewal program supports a range of organizations, including shelters for women and children who have experienced or may be at risk of violence, residences that offer day-to-day support for individuals with developmental disabilities, facilities serving survivors of human trafficking, organizations dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities, and centres that provide services for children and youth with special needs.

The $25 million investment will support 5 community agencies across the province in carrying out critical repairs and upgrades, including improvements to roofing and air conditioning systems, enhanced security features, and accessibility retrofits to kitchens and bathrooms.
