MPP Steve Pinsonneault Appointed to Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Rural Affairs

Steve Pinsonneault, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, has been appointed as Parliamentary Assistant to the Honorable Lisa Thompson, Minister of Rural Affairs.

In this new role, Mr. Pinsonneault will support Minister Thompson in advancing key initiatives aimed at strengthening rural communities across Ontario. Mr. Pinsonneault, who has served as municipal councilor for Chatham-Kent from 2006-2024, brings a wealth of knowledge to and a strong commitment to advocating for issues impacting rural Ontario, including agriculture, economic development, and infrastructure.

“I am honored to take on this important role alongside Minister Thompson,” said Mr. Pinsonneault. “Rural communities are the backbone of our province and the majority of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, and I look forward to working closely with the Minister to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.”

His extensive experience and dedication to serving constituents in will contribute significantly to the Ministry’s efforts to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by rural Ontarians.
