Meet Steve Pinsonneault
Steve Pinsonneault, a proud resident of Thamesville, has been a dedicated public servant since 2006. He served as Councillor for Ward 3 (East Kent) on the Chatham-Kent Council, consistently prioritizing the well-being of his community. His commitment to public safety is demonstrated by over 33 years of service as a volunteer firefighter and 15 years as an Emergency Spill Responder.
Steve is a devoted partner to Jodie, a father to three adult children, and a doting grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren. As a lifelong resident of Lambton–Kent–Middlesex, he has always been committed to advocating for his riding and working to strengthen the region for future generations.

In May 2024, Steve was elected as Member of Provincial Parliament for Lambton–Kent–Middlesex in a by-election. In June 2024, he was appointed Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Rural Affairs, Lisa Thompson—a role that allowed him to bring his extensive local experience and commitment to rural communities to the provincial level.
Following the provincial election in February 2025, Steve was proud to be re-elected and take on new responsibilities. He now serves as Deputy House Whip and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Emergency Preparedness, Jill Dunlop, while continuing his work as PA to the Minister of Rural Affairs. These new roles are a natural fit with his decades of emergency response experience and his continued dedication to public service.
Steve is honoured to take on these responsibilities and remains committed to working hard for the people of Lambton–Kent–Middlesex, and supporting development across the province.
